Home and Garden Websites

I love creating home and garden websites as gardening and creating things for my home have been long-time passions of mine. Some might think it odd that competing companies have hired me to work on their sites, but I think it’s a smart move. The more sites I do, the better they all become and no two sites look alike because I am putting each individual company on the page. All of my landscaping/nursery websites were word of mouth referrals from each other:)

“Hiring Claire  to do my website was the best and easiest thing I’ve ever done to promote my business. This lady is so creative and tasteful. Her websites sell, believe me! Claire took my photos and information and returned to me in a timely fashion a beautiful job. Her pricing is extremely reasonable and I have every confidence she can and will create a super website for you. Just can’t say enough good things about her work. She is easy to deal with and professional at the same time. You won’t be disappointed.” …..  Barbara Rhodes

This was a makeover of a site I designed for the previous business owner. Lauren and Mike needed a fresh new look when they took over the business, so I really brightened it up. Having such gorgeous photos to work with makes building a site so much more fun to work on.

This was a very big project and another makeover site. I really love creating sites that are super functional– really working hard for all the needs of the organisation. The Summerland Gardens have thousands of visitors each year and the Friends of the Gardens provide so many worthwhile services– it’s very fulfilling to let the world see their work.

Perhaps it’s the seasonal nature of garden-related websites, but Lisa is another client who does an excellent job of keeping her site fresh with new content and images on a regular basis.

Her website is growing with her business as she adds new projects to her portfolio… it just gets better and better!

Joan’s site is fairly new and in the growing stage as she develops her business. She’s in quite a competitive field, up against large plant nurseries, but is working on finding her unique niche which will fulfill her passion for helping her customers to garden with purpose while also making a living doing what she loves.

Next step… a fledgling online store!

World of Worms web design by claire turner creative in Kelowna

Loved working on this site and I now know more about Red Wigglers than I ever really wanted to know:) Ludo had a ton of information to present to his viewers, not only to educate them about worms and vermicomposting, but also to sell his products. Methodical organisation of content was key to making the site easy to navigate.

Setting up the “store” was another challenge– achieved by using paypal buttons which are maintained by Ludo. This is a simple solution for someone with just a few items to sell.
